How to set up Microsoft Authenticator

Purpose: This KB is designed to help with setting up Microsoft Authenticator on your company or personal mobile phone.  You will need Microsoft Authenticator downloaded and enabled once your St. John's account is configured to enforce Microsoft MFA.  This will allow you to access your St. John's Concur and VPN services.

Go to App Store and search, download, install Microsoft Authenticator.

Once installed click on the plus sign to add the Concur MFA account.

In the Add Account window, choose ‘Other (Google, Facebook, etc.)

Scan the SAP Concur QR code.

Note: Concur can use Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator for its multi-factor authentication process.  St. John’s IT department can only support Microsoft Authenticator.  To help with troubleshooting and standardization, please use Microsoft Authenticator for your authentication process when logging into your Concur account.

This will install your Concur account on the Microsoft Authenticator that you just installed.  Upon completion, you will be displayed a six-digit Authentication Code within your Microsoft Authenticator with the titled “SAP Concur” and your Concur username underneath the title.
